I love the fact that people are able to note how they came across a new author who they love. Sometimes its word of mouth (and there is certainly enough of that in 9engf!) and at other times it is through displays at libraries or other forms of recommendation. Carolyn, my wife participates in a book club which meets once a month after the members reading a particular novel in theory to discuss this book. So far the shared book has generally been less than popular but has lead to discussions about other books that have been a great read: a sort of laterally moving literature circle.
How do you find new authors???

i dont really have a favourite author, i read books by all different authors, but i have just recently read 'dreamland' by sarah dessen, as Olivia B. recommended it to me and i really enjoyed reading that book.
i liked the reality that the she described though out the book. i prefer to read books that are based, or explain storys that are or could be true, they keep me more interested.

My favourite authour would have to be Linda Holeman. I have only read one of her books, The Moonlit Cage. from the first paragraph i was hooked. I couldn't put the book down! I think I loved this book because of the story, and the way that it was written. The way that Linda Holeman Described the places, people and feelings in the story were truly beautiful.

i love roald daul.
only because he nmakes fun books to read. they never get to boring. yet they may be for younger people i still love them.

im going to start reading phantom of the opera, because i have seen the movie and saw it on stage when it came to australia.
i love it so i thought i might as well see how different it is.
